MITT ROMNEY SHOWS SUPPORT FOR JIM OGONOWSKI

Former Governor Hosts Reception in Boston

(Boston, MA) – Former Massachusetts Governor and 2008 presidential candidate Mitt Romney hosted a reception Tuesday night in Boston, in support of Jim Ogonowski's candidacy for the U.S. Senate.

"I applaud you for your willingness to support the Ogonowski's in this race," said Gov. Romney. "Having run in the state of Massachusetts as a Republican, I know that the odds are always considered long. I was 12 points down with two weeks to go in my Governor's race and the great thing about politics in Massachusetts, is that anything can happen. We've got a lot of work to do here in Massachusetts. I want to make sure you all get behind Jim and his campaign and hopefully we'll be able to call him, sometime in the near future, Senator Ogonowski."

"I am very honored to have the support of Gov. Mitt Romney. He is a true leader that did great things for the people of Massachusetts," remarked Ogonowski. "John Kerry has been in the Senate for 24 years and has only passed eight pieces of legislation and has missed close to 600 votes. The people of Massachusetts deserve more from their government leaders. If Kerry is already semi-retired now, I say on November 4th we make him permanently retired."
